'Buhari’s APC now entertains Nigerians with discoveries of cash with no owners'

The Peoples Democratic Party has bemoaned that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) which was established to fight corruption now entertains Nigerians with dramas of different kinds under President Muhammadu Buhari.

The party stated this in a series of tweets on its twitter handle on Wednesday, decrying a situation where the anti-graft agency now discovers funds in apartments and offices with no known owners.

The tweets read, “The Anti-corruption fight under the APC government has become comedy. The EFCC now discovers funds in apartments and offices that have no owners.

“It is preposterous to imagine that the last four seizures coincidentally have no known owners. This is most unfortunate and embarrassing. Who are the owners of N49million at Kaduna Airport, N448million at LEGICO Mall, N250million in Balogun Market and $43.4million, N23.2million and £27,000 in Osborne Road?

“The anti-graft agency must therefore tell Nigerians who owns all the funds allegedly discovered in Kaduna airport and Lagos state. The APC led EFCC has refused to disclose the true identity(s) of owners of Flat 7A and 7B in Osborne road, where the money was discovered

“The PDP administration established the EFCC to fight corruption effectively and efficiently and not to entertain Nigerians.

“The EFCC must also tell Nigerians the total amount they have recovered in the last 2 years & provide verifiable accounts of recovered funds.”
