The Idumuje-Ugboko community of Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State is currently in a state of controversy over the expulsion of a queen from the palace in Idumuje-Ugboko over allegations infidelity.

A member of the royal family, Prince Obi Nwoko, while reacting to the development, said the queen was found to have been put in the family way by another man and she was subsequently sanctioned according to the tradition and custom of the Idumuje-Ugboko community.

Reacting to the allegations from her new base, the queen, Her Royal Majesty Okwukwe Nwoko, suggested there is a plot to banish her from the palace by people who want to usurp the functions of king Obi Agbogidi Nwoko III, who is presently indisposed.

The Queen, who said infidelity is strange to her nature, also threatened to use legal means to secure her legitimate position following her expulsion from the palace with her seven month pregnancy which she said the king was responsible for.

Queen Nwoko, who made an appeal to the Obi-in-Coucil to allow her go back to the palace, also said she was ready to be subjected to a DNA test or submit herself to traditional oath taking to prove that the baby actually belongs to the ailing king.
