COVID-19: Nine people including foreigner discharged in Lagos

Nine people, including a Polish were on Wednesday discharged by the Lagos State government as they tested negative for the deadly covid-19, after undergoing treatment.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Heath, Prof Akin Abayomi, has announced the discharge of nine COVID-19 patients in the state, including a foreigner.

The Commissioner disclosed this on his Twitter handle on Wednesday, adding that a Polish national was one of those that recovered.

He tweeted: “The cheering news is that 9 more fully recovered #COVID19 Lagos patients; 5 females and 4 males including a foreign national of Poland have been discharged after testing negative to further #COVID19 screening.

“The total number of #COVID-19 discharged cases in Lagos now stands at 107.”

Professor Abayomi also disclosed that five cases have been transferred to Ogun State.

“The total #COVID19 cases transferred out of Lagos are now eight,” he added.
