Crisis rocks Bayelsa Ohanaeze as youths reject president

Published

on

The crisis rocking Ohanaeze Ndigbo Bayelsa State branch is not yet over as the youth wing of the group is still maintaining its stand that there is no Ohanaeze Ndigbo president in the state.

President of Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC), Chinedu Arthur-Ugwa told Sunday Telegraph yesterday in Yenagoa that as a matter of fact, the group has not got any accepted president owing to the fact that the election that brought Chinedu Amaku parading himself as the president was not well conducted.

He said already an election committee has been set up by the National Headquarters of Ohanaeze to reconduct the election which has brought enough controversy in the state.

The state Commandant of Nigerian Civil Defense Corps, Desmond Agu recently waded into the crisis but the OYC still stood their ground that the election that brought the supposed president was not adequately conducted therefore the election cannot stand.
