Crisis rocks PDP as two guber candidates, party treasurer dump party

Published

on

More knocks yesterday came for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State as two gubernatorial candidates, Alhaji Aminu Mohammad Baka and Hanafi Muazu Sudan and the party’s treasurer, have dumped the party for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

New Telegraph gathered that their defection, which was coming barely a day after the party’s former chairman, Abdulrahman Enagi, dumped the party, was due to lack of sincerity of purpose on the part of the PDP in the state.

New Telegraph Correspondent gathered from a reliable source in the PDP that other members, including Hanafi, former deputy governor, Ambassador Ahmed Ibeto, who he said did not mean well for the party, were bidding to join the APC because they were no longer popular.
