Decomposing bodies of 6 women found in Lagos canal

The Lagos state police command is now working to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of six females whose corpses were discovered inside a canal in the Ikorodu area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Joseph Offor said the decomposing bodies of the yet to be identified women ‎were found in a canal at Anibaba area, off Akele Street, Ikorodu, at about 3.30 p.m. on Sunday December 6th.

According to him, the Lagos State environmental agency officials have since removed the corpses to a public mortuary for autopsy. No arrest had been made in connection with the deaths.

The spokesman advised members of the public to report to the nearest police station if any of their relations were missing.
