Desperate, EFCC moves to seize Tompolo’s properties

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has moved to consfiscate the properties of wanted Niger Delta militant, Government Ekpemopolo, alias Tompolo until he shows up to honour the court summons served on him, or he is arrested.

The agency in an expart motion filed at the Federal High Court Registry, Lagos on Thursday sought to seize a number of Tompolo’s properties and businesses mostly located in Delta State.

According to an affidavit accompanying the motion, Tompolo was invited by the EFCC on several occasions to come and answer to the allegation of fraudulent activities leveled against him which was uncovered during investigation, but persistently refused and failed to honour the several invitations extended to him.

It also stated that since the issuance of a warrant of arrest, Tompolo has absconded and concealed himself from all security forces in the country to frustrate the service of the arrest.
