Ex-convict father detained after 13-yr-old son dies of drug overdose

40-year-old Robert Wylie has been arrested after his 13-year-old son Nathan Wylie died of suspected heroin overdose.

The boys father, Robert has been jailed in a previous drug-related case.

According to reports, the Ohio boy’s unresponsive body was brought by his father and another man to a Dayton fire station March 28 and indicated that Nathan got into his father’s drugs.

Nathan’s was later taken to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Police told the Dayton Daily News on Monday they were awaiting a toxicology report and interviewing witnesses to determine exactly what kind of drugs the boy accessed and how.

Nathan’s father was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and remained jailed in connection with a December traffic stop in which he was arrested for drug possession.
