BIAFRA: Bayelsa court frees 44 detained IPOB members

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Sunday called on the British Government to help ensure Biafra independence from Nigeria, as that will demonstrate true respect for rights of person or group of persons.

According to the group, Britain with its relationship with Nigeria, can play a significant role in ensuring  that Biafra exit Nigeria as it (Britain) exited European Union.

The group in a statement titled “There must be ‘BIAFREXIT’ in line with the just concluded BREXIT” and signed by its spokespersons Dr. Clifford Chukwuemeka Iroanya, Barrister Emma Nmezu, congratulated the British Government for its respect for the wishes of her citizens.

IPOB, pointed that it will be hypocritical of Britain if after voting for British exit will fold their arms and watch the Nigerian Government continue in the alleged abuse of human rights and murderous activities against Biafra agitators.

“Britain as the closest ally of the Nigerian Government as a mark of exemplary leadership, must guide President Muhammadu Buhari and his colleagues to organize a BIAFREXIT akin to the recently organized BREXIT. The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, congratulate the Government and people of Britain for organizing the BREXIT vote and applaud the British Government for respecting the wishes of her citizens,” the group noted.
