Family feud: You’re a liar, sister tells Adebayor
The family feud is getting messier by the day. A couple of days ago, footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor incurred the wrath of his family members by making certain unsavory posts about them on his Facebook page.
He said they were ungrateful. That they were unappreciative with all he’d done for them. He went as far as posting the photo of his brother, saying the part 2 of the story would be out soon.
Well, his family won’t allow him ride roughshod over them via the social network. They made their own post too.
His sister, Lucia Adebayor, fired a scathing post at her football star brother. On it, she called him a liar and said only God would save his soul. Read her post below:
“Keep on lying to the whole world brother. Where is the car you got for mum? You took it back. The house you claim you bought for sister are all lies. The phones Rotimi stole are all lies. Money is not everything oooo. We the family don’t even need you again just be on your own so we do the same. The fact you have it today doesn’t guarantee your tomorrow. May God Allah forgive you. The alphas and mallams have done great harm to your life. You need God. Only God can save your soul,” Lucia wrote on her brother’s post on Facebook

I think this could’ve been handled better. There’s no wisdom in washing the family’s dirty linen in public. Perhaps he needed counselling, perhaps he was just looking for attention, whatever the case, family dignity needs to be kept in tact.

He needs counseling simply because he made the first post public. What happened to family elders, close family friends, Facebook is no where to talk to your family even if you were wronged, does he think he has the monopoly on ungrateful families, friends. I always say be grateful yours is he hands that gives and not the receiver, truth be told what percentage of what we have do we give and at what point? Is it before we eat, pay rent, our children school fees, put gas at home and in our car tanks or AFTER all that. Be GRATEFUL to GOD yours is the hand that giveth.
