Fani-Kayode tasks Buhari on immediate release of abducted Redeemed pastor

A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has tasked President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure the immediate release of a kidnapped pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), John Egla.

Reacting to the abduction of the RCCG pastor in a post on his official Twitter handle late on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode charged the Federal Government to do everything possible to ensure the pastor regains his freedom.

He wrote: “A Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has been kidnapped by gunmen in Lafia, Nassarawa State.

“He was abducted at his residence in Shabu community on the outskirts of the state.

“I call on the FG to do all they can to rescue him at the soonest.”

The spokesman of the state police command, Mr. Nansel Ramhan, confirmed the pastor’s abduction.

He told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that Egla was kidnapped at his residence in Shabu community on the outskirts of Lafia, the state capital.
