Following devastating floods, Osinbajo approves N1.6b intervention fund

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has approved the immediate release of N1.6 billion as intervention fund for 16 states ravaged by flood.

This information was conveyed by the Personal Assistant to President Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmaad, via his twitter handle on Wednesday.

He stated that some of the states include “Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Enugu, Abia, Oyo, Plateau, Edo, Bayelsa, Kwara States”.

This development is coming on the heels of damaging floods in different parts of Nigeria, highlighted by the fatal flooding in Suleja, capital of Niger State, which claimed 13 lives and the Lagos flooding which grounded the commercial city.
