Fuel crisis: Lagos marketers assault DPR officials

The supply crisis of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol rocking the country took a new twist yesterday as fuel marketers resorted to physical assault of officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Lagos Region.

One of the marketers in question, Oando filling station, Lekki belonging to Mr. Basiru Fakorede, was sealed by the downstream sector’s watchdog over molestation of its personnel.

Confirming the spate of assault on DPR officials by marketers to New Telegraph, Deputy Director and Head of Downstream Division of DPR, Mr. Usman Ndanusa, who led the team to Oando station in Lekki, said that the operator of the station molested DPR staff on inspection to his station on December 7.
