Fulani herdsmen are Boko Haram’s allies –Falae

Elder statesman and former Secretary to Government of the Federation, Olu Falae, has said that the herdsmen that kidnapped him on Monday behaved in a manner that betrayed them as allies of Boko Haram.

Falae said this while speaking with Governor Olusegun Mimiko when the governor paid him a visit at his residence in Oba-ile in Akure, capital of Ondo State, a source said.

“Baba has just narrated his ordeal to some of us. His abductors made him to trek from his farm to Owo. Baba also said he was sleeping on the ‎ground since his kidnap.
“We can’t say if any ransom was paid for his release. According to Baba, when he told the kidnappers that his family only had N2million, they asked him if he thought the amount was enough for‎ Boko Haram, ” the source said.
