Gbajabiamila orders Reps ad-hoc committees to handover to standing committees

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has ordered adhoc committees of the House of Representatives to handover to standing committees of the House.

The Speaker gave the order on Tuesday as the House resumed plenary after a recess that lasted for almost two months.

The chairmen and vice chairmen of the standing committees were named at the last sitting on July 25, 2019, by September 30, though the members are yet to be named.

Gbajabiamila, who said work would continue on pending bills, motions and probes, said emphasis would be placed on critical legislations such as the Petroleum Industry Bill, among others.
