Guinness Books confirms Hilda Baci’s record as cooking record holder

Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci, has been announced as the new record holder for the longest cooking by an individual by the Guinness World Records.

The announcement was made by the GWR in a statement issued on Tuesday which said that chef Hilda Baci was recognized as the new record holder after a thorough review of all the evidence presented by her team.

The GWR in the statement on its website, said, “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”

Hilda Baci smashed the 87 hours 45 minutes record set by now-former Guinness World Record holder, Lata Tondon, on Monday morning, May 15, 2023.

After surpassing Tondon’s record, the s3xy chef who hails from Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria set a new world record of 96 hours of cooking non-stop.
