JUST IN: Appeal Court commutes ex-Gov Nyame's 14-year jail term to 12, adds N525m fine

Former Taraba State governor, Jolly Nyame, on Friday had his jail term reduced by the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.

The jail term was reduced from 14 to 12 years with an imposition of a fine of N525 million on the convict.

The development followed the ruling of Justice Abdul Aboki-led three-man panel of the Court of Appeal.

Recall that High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Gudu, Abuja had earlier this year sentenced the former fovernor to 14 years imprisonment after he was found guilty of involvement in corruption as the governor of Taraba State.
