Former Super Eagles stars, Nwankwo Kanu and Victor Ikpeba have commended Coach Samson Siasia and his players for qualifying for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, Brazil.

Warri Wolves forward Etebo Oghenekaro scored the only goal from the penalty spot in the second half as Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles defeated Senegal 1-0 in the semifinal of the U-23 AFCON on Wednesday.

Kanu was the captain of the original Dream Team who won a historic Olympic football gold medal at Atlanta in 1996 and he said he is now looking forward to a great outing at the next Olympics for the team.
