President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina, has said that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, will lose the February 16 presidential elections even if witches and wizards also choose to endorse him.
Leaders and elders of different regional groups, the Northern Forum (NEF), Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Middle Belt Forum and a section of the Afenifere, had on Sunday endorsed Atiku as their presidential candidate.
They had accused Buhari of being busy blaming others for the perceived failures of his government since he took oath of office in 2015. They also lamented the rate of insecurity in the country, among other things.
But in a terse statement on his Twitter account over the endorsement, Adesina said, “NEF, PANDEF, Afenifere, others endorse Atiku.
“Let witches and wizards also endorse, if they like. The harder they come, the harder they fall. No beating the Nigerian people.”
