Latest reports emanating from England reveal that Liverpool and Tottenham have been told to cough out £15m for Nigerian sensation Moses Simon.

The 20-year-old forward currently plays for Belgian side Gent and has been in impressive form this season and was wanted by both Premier League clubs as a teenager but he opted to train with Dutch side Ajax instead.

London Daily Mail reported that scouts are understood to have seen Simon when compiling information on his team-mate Laurent Depoitre – another forward interesting both the Reds and Spurs.

Gent are desperate to keep hold of the youngster but reports in Nigerian newspaper HLN claim general manager Michel Louwagie is willing to do business if he is offered £15m.

His performances helped Gent to finish runners-up in the Belgian league last year and has alerted the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham to his potential.

The Reds return to action against Spurs this weekend with new manager Jurgen Klopp in charge.

He replaces Brendan Rodgers who was sacked after the 1-1 draw with arch-rivals Everton in the Merseyside derby.
