LMC Case: Court fixes Nov 9 as Dikko slams arrest attempt

The appeal case filed by the League Management Company (lmc) against an order of Jos High Court suspending the Nigerian Professional Football League has been shifted to November 9, 2016, by the Appeal Court sitting in Jos on Tuesday.

The Appeal Court had fixed October 11 to hear the case but shifted it to November 9, 2016.
According to the Registrar of the court, the hearing has been shifted to 9th November and no reasoned was given for the shift of the date.

Meanwhile, the League Management Company, chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko has described the latest attempt by policemen to arrest him as outrageous and bad publicity for the national team.

Two unidentified policemen in mufti had attempted to arrest Dikko at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport on Sunday night on his way back from Zambia with the Super Eagles.

“It was a bad publicity for the national team who just recorded a major victory on its way to the 2018 World Cup. The scenario whereby the policemen fired gunshots really scared many of the players who expressed reservation of honouring national team assignments in future because their lives were not secure,” he said.
