Maiduguri bombing: Two confirmed dead following suicide bomb attack at Dalori

Two victims have thus far been confirmed dead following a bomb attack which occurred at the Dalori Quarters in Maiduguri, Borno State when a suicide bomber detonated explosives strapped around his waist.

Reports say the suicide bomber attacked a mosque in Dalori quarters opposite the University of Maiduguri during an early Morning Prayer session as the bomber lost his life and another person believed to be a student of the university was also killed.

An eyewitness, who witnessed the incident, said he heard a loud explosion which jolted residents when the suicide bomber, a male, detonated the IED strapped to his body.

Confirming the incident, spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, Sani Datti, said the bomber killed himself and another person who was saying his early morning prayers during the attack.
