MAPOLY workers lament non-payment of salaries

Published

on

A strong indication has emerged that workers at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, are angry with Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for failing to pay their five months salaries.

Vanguard gathered that both the teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution were groaning following the failure of the state government to pay their salaries since September 2017.

Both government and MAPOLY workers had disagreements which snowballed into three months strike by the workers over the decision of the government to upgrade the institution into a university.

The government had threatened that it would not pay their salaries for the months they went on strike, but, the workers disagreed with the government.
