Mercy Aigbe’s marriage crumbles over allegations of battery
The seven-year marriage of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe and her husband Lanre Gentry may just have crashed following allegations of battery the actress leveled against her better half who makes bread and butter as a hotelier.
According to reports, the actress has for long been enduring domestic violence with reports indicating that the now estranged couple had a nasty fight last week which left the actress with bruises.
Eyewitnesses say the cuts Mercy got from the fight with her husband were so severe that she had to seek medical attention and as at the time of filing in this report, the actress was receiving treatment at an undisclosed Lagos hospital.

The actress all but confirmed her predicament when she posted on social media platform, Instagram saying; “Say NO to DOMESTIC VIOLENCE…… Only a Coward hits a woman! REAL MEN don’t HIT!’.
However, in a counter post, Mercy’s husband took to Twitter denying the allegations against him when he tweeted thus; “Well, I know my wife did not have a hand in this because have never beat my wife and I we never beat her because I love her so much”.
Reports say Mercy who has now left her matrimonial home after a clash with her husband over an affair he is having with a fair skinned lady identified as Opemititi aka ‘Queen Stunner’.

This isn’t about celebrities alone, it’s a general problem for the ladies of this generation. Most ladies out there are side chicks to the rich men, how do you expect side chicks to have stable home when they get married? Life has its ways of taking revenge, if you are a problem to another woman’s marriage, you will never have stable home. It’s is not a curse, it is life.
