Residents in the New York City area are now at alert following a new ISIS video release on Wednesday which warns of an impending attack.
The video shows an explosive device being put together and a bomber zipping his jacket over a suicide belt. It also mentions Times Square as a major target.
And out of an abundance of caution, The New York City Police which claims to be aware of the video has deployed additional members of its new anti-terrorism squad to foil any possible attacks.

“While some of the video footage is not new, the video reaffirms the message that New York City remains a top terrorist target.
“While there is no current or specific threat to the city at this time, we will remain at a heightened state of vigilance and will continue to work with the FBI, the Joint Terrorism Task Force and the entire intelligence community to keep the city of New York safe”, the statement said.
The purported video prompted a response from Mayor Bill de Blasio, who said police were “taking all necessary precautions” in areas shown in the video and throughout other parts of the city.
