The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the Rivers State government is to spend at least $300,000 (about N600m) in hosting a friendly match next Tuesday between the Super Eagles, and neighbouring Niger Republic.
A top official of the football body disclosed, that the budget will include an appearance fee of $150,000 to the visiting Mena of Niger as well as their local transportation and boarding while in Nigeria for the game.

The NFF is hoping that Rivers State Government as host of the match will defray part of these expenses.
Tuesday’s match will be played at the Adokiye Amiesiemake Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Niger, who failed to qualify for Equatorial Guinea 2015, are fresh from a 2-0 defeat in Burundi in an AFCON qualifier.

Ripples …. taking sensational journalism to a new high.
First, how come $300,000 is now NG N600m??? Even at an exchange rate of NG N200 = US $1.00, it comes to NG N60m. Secondly, while your very first sentence stated CATEGORICALLY that the NFF and the Rivers State Govt were to jointly spend the claimed NG N6oom, your very last sentence IS HOPING that the Rivers State Govt as host will defray part of the costs. Haba, Ripples!!! Hope you won’t drive sane and unbiased readers like us from your site.
