PDP crises infects Lagos, chairman kicked out

Published

on

The crisis rocking the PDP at the national level seems to have infected the Lagos State chapter of the party, as the chairman, Captain Tunji Shelle, was on Monday sacked by 34 members of the State Working Committee.

The Secretary of the party, Wahab Owokoniran was immediately appointed to replace him.

The committee accused Shelle of mismanaging election campaign funds and manipulating the party’s primaries last year which ultimately led to the defeat of the PDP at the polls.
