An emergency national caucus meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presided over by National Chairman, Uche Secondus will be held at the party secretariat in Abuja on Monday (today).
The meeting called by the National Working Committee of the party according to reports, seeks to, among other issues, redress in court the outcome of the presidential and National Assembly elections.
Other matters expected to be discussed at the gathering tagged “Expanded Caucus Meeting” are the outcome of the presidential and National Assembly elections and deliberations on the forthcoming governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections scheduled for March 9.
Recall that 24-hours after rejecting the results of presidential and National Assembly polls, alleging irregularities, the PDP summoned its legal team to a meeting.
Reports say the meeting summoned by the main opposition party discussed the next legal line of action following the elections.
The PDP had alleged that the results of the presidential and National Assembly polls announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had been altered and, therefore, are unacceptable to the party.
