The rising profile of Ripples Nigeria, an independent online news platform currently reshaping the nation’s newspaper industry landscape, received a further boost weekend when its team led by Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Sam Ibemere was hosted at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, by President Muhammadu Buhari’s top media aides.
The meeting hosted by Mr Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity respectively was spiced with plenty of banter, and provided the trio an opportunity to journey through their days in active journalism.
While commending Messrs Garba and Adesina on their appointments, Mr Ibemere noted that their elevation was a reward for hard-work, diligence and professionalism.
He said that the anti-graft war was a collective crusade and promised that Ripples Nigeria would partner the Federal Government in the struggle to enthrone a more humane and just society.
The President’s media men commended the vision behind the online newspaper and quality of its reportage. They also pledged their support, promising to work with Ripples Nigeria on its mission to inform, educate and entertain the people.
