With rodents’ damage fixed, Buhari returns to his office about 81 days after
About 81 days after President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria from his medical vacation in London, he finally returned to his main office inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Since his return on August 19, Buhari has reportedly been working from an office located inside his official residence and another one located inside the Presidential Banquet Hall.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, had said the President’s office needed renovation because of its damage by rodents during his long absence.
“Following the three months period of disuse, rodents have caused a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units,” he had said, explaining that it was impossible for the President to operate from an office in that condition.

Although Shehu said he could not tell when the renovation would be completed, he however stated that the maintenance company had been asked to accelerate work.
Buhari was said to have Thursday resumed official functions at the office for the first time since he returned to the country.
He inaugurated the Armed Forces Council inside one of the halls located inside the main office before proceeding to preside over a meeting of the council.
The President’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, confirmed the resumption on his Twitter handle, @BashirAhmad.
While responding to a media report published earlier in the day indicating that the President had yet to resume at
his office, Ahmad wrote, “And, President @MBuhari is currently presiding over an Armed Forces Council Meeting in this particular office you’re talking about.”

The president should just avoid that office permanently, rodents don’t visit clean environments, I’m sure the president’s office cannot be untidy. This looks like some spiritual problems

You don’t need to attach spiritual to this, it is normal for rodents to visit any abandoned place, Buhari’s offfice was not used for months and there was never a record that it was cleaned for atleast once.

Otapiapia could have solve the whole issue and won’t cause them spending arm and leg to renovate the president’s office but Nigeria of corruption
