Sanusi talks from both sides of his mouth – Junaid

Kano State Second Republic politician, Dr Junaid Mohammed, has hit hard on Kano State Emir, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II, describing him as a man that speaks from both sides of his mouth.

Junaid’s diatribe on Kano State’s religious head came as a response to the emir’s statement that northerners should de-emphasise the act of erecting mosques and think towards building schools, suggesting that the worship centres should be converted into schools.

But Junaid noted that the statement by the emir was not just mischievous but must not be dignified.

He said, “Ordinarily, I won’t dignify the statement credited to the Emir with any response because the Emir talks from both sides of his mouth.

“Though, I agree that there are too many mosques all around and more functional schools need to be built, I don’t think converting a mosque or church to school is what will solve the problem.

“I believe the issue of million beggars on streets in the North is what should have formed the basis of discussion and not the issue of converting mosques to schools,” he said.

Recall that the former Central Bank Governor, had also not long ago, called on wealthy individuals in the North to use the wealth Allah blessed them with, not only in building mosques but to also educate girls and discourage early marriage.

Junaid is so disrespectful, how can he open his big mouth to talk to Emir Sanusi in such manner. If you don’t agree with Sanusi’s opinion, he ought to express himself in a respectul manner that will not drag the Emir’s name through the mud

I have read what the Junaid man said over and over again. There is nothing even special about his view on the matter. I really feel he is the one whose mouth has plenty sides.

Emir Sanusi spoke well. We the northerners should start erecting big schools and not mosques as Islam has done us nothing but erroneous teaching to kill and to destroy. We need western education to illumines and enlighten us. Junaid is the foolish man here.

Wao , so there is still abokis with sense like you. Education is salient if the North must develop. See a small girl being brainwashed with #200 to engage in suicide bombing all because she is an illiterate. Sincerely education is of the essence to liberate the bondaged northerners.

“I won’t dignify the statement credited to the Emir with any response because the Emir talks from both sides of his mouth,” this statement keeps cracking me up, it is the most insulting statement I’ve read all day. It’s said it was for a man I respected so much. Why did Sanusi made that dumb comment too?
