Sao Tome and Principe records first index cases

The island nation of Sao Tome and Principe has announced its first four Covid-19 cases.

The country’s Prime Minister,Jorge Bom Jesus, said the results returned positive having been tested in Gabon.

Sao Times joins as the 52nd country to be plagued by the global pandemic in Africa where over 9,000 confirmed cases, more than 400 deaths and over 800 recoveries have been recorded.
