Saraki: Sen. Nakudu denies endorsing vote of confidence

The camp of Senators who endorsed the motion passing a vote of confidence on the President of the Nigerian Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has again decreased by one, as the Senator representing Jigawa South West Senatorial District, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakuru, has dissociated himself from it.

Nakudu’s denial came barely 24 hours after the Chairman, Senate Committee on Business and Rules, Senator Babajide Omowarare (APC-Osun East), denied being a part of the motion, stating that he was not consulted before his name was included in the motion.

Nakudu made the denial in a widely circulated press statement purportedly signed personally by him, claiming he was not consulted before his name was included in the names of senators who signed the vote of confidence on Tuesday.

Senator Nakudu was listed as number 41 on the list of Senators who endorsed the motion.

According to Nakudu, he wants to assure his constituents and the general public that he is a loyal party man and loyal to his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC
