Sen Dino Melaye ‘kidnapped’

Unknown gunmen on Thursday allegedly abducted Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West.

This was revealed by one of his colleagues, Sen Ben Murray-Bruce representing Bayelsa East, on his twitter handle.

According to Sen Bruce, Melaye was abducted on his way from Abuja to Lokoja, the Kogi State capital to attend his court case.

He said, “I have just been informed by Moses Melaye, @dino_melaye’s brother, that Dino has been abducted by unknown persons in a Toyota Sienna that blocked their car and overpowered them on their way to Kogi to answer to Dino’s court case. Lets be on the watch out. Will keep you updated”.

It would be recalled that the embattled Melaye is amongst 32 senators who dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) recently.

He has been having running battles with the police who accuse him of gun running, giving false information and attempted suicide, among others.
