Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta says Spain believe they can win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but they are fully focused on Wednesday’s clash against Iran.

Spain were held 3-3 by Portugal in their opening Group B clash after a hat trick by Cristiano Ronaldo cancelled a brace by Diego Costa and a goal by Nacho.

They face early group leaders Iran knowing that anything less than a victory will complicate qualification for the knockout phase.

“We are dreaming of winning the World Cup again,” Iniesta told Cadena Cope ahead of Iran clash.

“But the important thing in these tournaments is to think in the short-term and not obsess of any long-term ambitions.

“Our immediate aim is now Iran and to focus on that because it is crucial in terms of our aims.”

La Roja, champions of the 2010 edition in South Africa, will face Iran at the Kazan Arena on Wednesday, hoping for a win to continue in their quest to go all the way to the final in Russia.
