There was a harvest of criminals of some sort when men of the Taraba State Police Command paraded no less than 25 suspected cultists’ and political thugs causing mayhem in the state.

During the parade of the suspects, Mr. David Akinremi, the state Commissioner of Police said the criminals had in the past three days, been terrorising residents of Sabon-Gari in Jalingo, the state capital of Taraba.

The state CP stated, “The suspects are members of different cult groups who have unleashed terror on law-abiding residents in the last three days. They also engaged their rival groups in a fight and inflicted injuries not only on their rivals, but also on some innocent residents and looted shops in the process.

“We responded to a distress call and deployed a massive onslaught which led to the arrest of 25 suspects. Investigation into the matter is still ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court at the end of the investigation for the law to take its course.”
