“The clearance by ground troops and aerial bombardments by the Nigerian Air Force will continue till we reach the desired objective of defeating the terrorists,” he said.

Acting Director of Defence Information, Col. Rabe Abubakar, had said on Monday that given the massive offensive attacks carried out against the sect by the Air Force and ground troops and the level of mass surrender of the terrorists, there was an indication that defeat of the sect was imminent.

He called on the unrepentant members of the terrorist group to have a rethink, lay down their arms and abandon their strange and uncivilized ideology for the betterment of mankind.
