U-23 Eagles draw Senegal as Ivory Coast shock Falcons

Nigeria’s U-23 Eagles continued their superlative display on Saturday after forcing hard-fighting Senegal to a 1-1 draw in their second and final preliminary game of the 2015 All Africa Games in Congo at the Stade Municipal de Kintélé, Brazzaville.
The Coach Samson Siasia tutored side came back to salvage a point in the third minute of added time as Ibrahima Keita scored for the Senegalese team in the 81st minute but Mustapha Abdullahi scored Nigeria’s equalizer with basically the last kick of the game as the U-23 Eagles raced to the top of Group B

Saturday’s 1-1 draw meant the Dream Team VI finished undefeated in the Group and amassed four points from their two group games.
Nigeria will now play the runner-up of Group B in the semis on September 15.
Meanwhile, the Super Falcons suffered a shocking 2-1 loss to Ivory Coast in the last group game played on Saturday.
The Ivorians who won the match courtesy of a penalty kick goal in the second half, came from a goal down in the first half after Falcons scored an early goal into the match.
With the loss, the Super Falcons finished second behind Ivory Coast on the log table with 6 points and will battle the winner of Group B in the semifinal.st
