AAG: Mariam Usman wins three silver medals in weightlifting

Nigeria’s Mariam Usman shone brightly on Saturday at the ongoing Brazzaville 2015 All Africa as she clinched three silver medals in 75kg for women in the weightlifting event of the championship.
The athlete was defeated by Egyptian Khalaf Shaima Ahmed who won the three gold medals in the in Snatch, Clean and Jerk and Overall Total categories.
The US based athlete who won gold in the same category at the last Commonwealth games in Glasgow promised to bounce back stronger at the world championship later in the year.

“I’m grateful to God even though I wanted the gold but these medals will definitely inspire me for greater things in the future,” she enthused.
