Team Nigeria camp on Thursday came to life after Nigeria women team clinched a gold medal in the cycling event of the on-going 11th All Africa Games here in Congo Brazzaville.

The morale in the camp has been very low following the inability of most of the athletes to win gold medals but the quartet of Happiness Okafor, Rosemary Marcus, Gripa Tombrapa and Glory Odiase livened up the camp after winning the women’s time trial cycling event in Congo yesterday

Nigeria finished the 25km race in a time of 37.11 secs against Team South Africa’s time of 37.15 secs to clinch the gold medal as the cycling event got underway at the Conference Center in Masamba.
