Wanted ex-gov Lamido returns

Former governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido who has been sought after by the EFCC on Monday returned to Nigeria.

Lamido who spoke to newsmen in his Bamaina village in Birninkudu Local Government Area of the state, said he is aware of the invitation from the anti-graft agency, and would visit the commission on Thursday.

He said he would not ignore the invitation of the EFCC, as the anti-graft agency of the government, recognised by law.

“I am aware of the invitation,” he said.

Lamido also said that he would not join issues with the incumbent governor of the state on the debt of the state before he left office.

The former governor said while leaving office, he held a special council meeting; where he briefed the press on the liabilities he left.

    All these returning governors that EFCC are waiting for. Its like they have a deal. ” Return and pay us small money and we will use some techinicalities to throw out your case”. No one has been indicted yet. Does it mean that they are all innocent?
