Wife dumps 6-months baby in thrash after fight with husband

A housewife in Owohelogbo community of Delta State, Annabel Owhoghovo has allegedly dumped her six months old baby in a dump site a quarrel with her husband which led to exchange of blows.
She is accused of having dumped the baby along the way when she left her matrimonial home for her hometown in Abraka.
It was gathered, that trouble started on Thursday evening when the husband returned from work and asked his wife to help massage his feet, but the wife allegedly responded by using abusive words on him.
This did not go down well with the husband, and it resulted into a quarrel and a fight that led to physical combat. On Friday morning, neighbours were said to have wadded in to settle the quarrel between both of them as it had spilled to the next day, with both of them shouting at each other.

Annabel was said to have thereafter told her husband that she wanted to visit her mother in Abraka, only for her to allegedly dump the baby on a waste dump midway.
The cry of the baby was said to have attracted the attention of passersby, who took the baby to a police station in the community. The police reportedly tracked down Annabel as the mother of the baby.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, confirmed that the woman had been arrested, and that she presently helping the Police in their investigations.
She added that on completion of investigations, Annabel would be charged to court.
