Again, suicide bombers kill 7 in Maiduguri

Maiduguri, the Borno State capital in Northeast Nigeria, was again thrown into mourning as suspected Boko Haram suicide bombers detonated bombs killing at least 7 people and injuring 17 others.

The bombs were detonated by three female bombers Friday morning at Umarari Bayan Waya area of Mulai Village in the troubled city.

The blast reportedly occurred few minutes past 5am when Muslim faithful were getting ready to for their early morning prayer.

The three suicide bombers and four others died in the explosion.

Friday’s blasts came hours after about 42 people were reportedly killed in a mosque in Maiduguri after two suicide bombers disguising as worshippers detonated bombs late Thursday, while Muslim faithful were observing the Magrib prayers.
