Armed robbers attack Enyimba in Okene

Nigeria Premier League champions, Enyimba of Aba, were attacked by dare-devil armed robbers in Okene, Kogi State on their way to Kaduna for the 2016 Super Four on Monday

The Players and officials who lost cash and valuables were attacked in the afternoon but there was no case of any injury.

According to a release by the club, “We can confirm that our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the SuperFour.

“Thankfully, there were no injuries during this unfortunate incident. Players and officials were however stripped of all valuables.”

Kogi state highways are notorious for armed robberies as former League champions, Kano Pillars were robbed with five players suffering serious injuries in March last year while they were travelling to Owerri.
