2019: Atiku, Ezekwesili finally sign peace accord

Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of threatening Nigeria’s democracy.

He has therefore reporter the president, to the United States of America (USA), France, Germany, European Union (EU), and United Kingdom (UK).

Atiku who made the accusation in a petition made available to newsmen on Tuesday but dated January 27, said Buhari had been indulging in undemocratic actions and infractions by “serially breaching” the provisions of the nation’s constitution and “undermining organs and institutions of State in order to advance his personal interest.”

The recent suspension of Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen was among the infractions Atiku leveled against Buhari.

Others include the purchase of the Tucano Aircraft; Executive Order No. 006 (On preservation of suspicious assets and related schedules); the approval of $1 billion for military expenditure before approaching the National Assembly and disregard for orders of courts.
