Bandits raid Katsina village, abduct 15 women

The Katsina State Police Command said Sunday suspected bandits killed 47 people in early morning attacks on communities in three local government areas of the state.

The command’s spokesman, Gambo Isah, who disclosed this in a statement, said the bandits carried out the attacks in Dutsinma, Danmusa and Safana local government areas at about 00:30 hours on April 18.

He said police, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and Department of State Service (DSS) personnel had been deployed to restore normalcy in the affected communities.
