Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar on Friday pardoned 22 inmates serving different jail terms in the state.

He declared this in a broadcast to the people of the state as part of events marking Nigeria’s 56th Independence Anniversary of the country.

According to him, the inmates who were pardoned came from various formations in the state. He added that Nigeria has grown into a status of super power in spite of the scepticism that the country would disorganise after its independence in 1960.
