Bauchi ‘stolen’ plane found in Morocco

Bauchi State governor, Mohammed Abubakar, has said that the state’s missing plane has been found in Morocco.

He said the plane was hidden in the country but did not disclose those behind the ‘stolen’ plane ending up in that country.

The governor, who disclosed this as part of his scorecards after 100 days in office, said the recovered aircraft would be received by the state government in a few days at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi.

He explained that the aircraft was recovered by a committee set up by the government, which was headed by retired Air commodore Ahmed Tijjani-Baba.

The governor said after the laudable feat, the Tijjani-Baba’s committee would now beam its searchlight on the ministries and other government agencies to make them accountable for their allocations.

“The committee will now beam its satellite on the ministry for local affairs and the State Basic Education Board to see how billions of naira allocated to them was spent.

“Such examples are the N2bn micro loans and others that were allocated them, but carelessly spent leaving our pupils to study under the trees,” he said.
