B'Haram in trouble as FG partners 5 countries on weapons production

The Nigerian government on Monday revealed that it is in partnership with five countries to produce weapons to fight against the Islamic Boko Haram terrorist group.

The countries in partnership with Nigerian Ministry of Defence to commence the production of weapons for the armed forces to prosecute the war against the Boko Haram insurgency, as disclosed by the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, are Poland, Turkey, South Africa, Pakistan and India.

The minister who revealed this at the Nigerian Army Research and Innovation Summit in Abuja said the partnership would also involve the transfer of technology and skills to the armed forces.

In attendance at the summit with the theme, “Research and Innovation: Developing synergy with indigenous institutions for enhanced capacity in the Nigerian Army,” included the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen. Tukur Buratai, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu.

Dan-Ali said, “So far, Poland, Turkey, South Africa, Pakistan and India have visited Nigeria for that purpose of partnership. This partnership will, among other things, consider the transfer of skills and technological innovations for the advancement of our armed forces,”.

Speaking also at the occasion, Buratai disclosed that 178 military equipment have been refurbished between July 2015 and now, which according to him, improved the war against the Boko Haram terrorist group.

“We have learnt the hard lessons of over-reliance on foreign equipment which was a huge setback in the initial stage of our operations. Presently, 178 armoured fighting vehicles have been refurbished and this is part of what has turned the tide of operations in the North-East in our favour.

“All army corps and formations have been charged to intensify research and innovation efforts towards developing the right weapons and platforms needed to solve the identified battlefield problems,” he said.

The truth here is that, how sophisticated are the weapons because Boko Haram’s one source of weaponry could be sophisticated than even 10 sources of the Federal government weaponry.

It is so shameful the Nigerian government alone cannot wipe out Boko Haram, despite all the victory claims from the Army, we still had to employ the services of external countries.

Boko Haram are in trouble because I am so sure these developments will make them tremble and probably hands off from their evil deeds. They have committed more enough heinous activities.

The Boko Haram terror is a bad on for Nigeria, but if this hadn’t happen, Nigeria will still be living on past glory that we have competent army and good weapons. Boko Haram exposed the world to the truth about our weak weapons.

Boko Haram must surely meet their Waterloo soon. They have almost wrecked the North and the damages they ravaged can’t be recovered for 10years. Sincerely I don’t mind if the UN can help mobilise their soldiers to finish Boko Haram in Nigeria.

It’s funny that they did all of those evils to their own people. To think that a people can be so heartless!
