Buhari’s, Jonathan’s men quarrel over President’s ‘death’
Rumours and denial of rumours of the death of President Muhammadu Buhari has sparked another war of words between some prominent aides of politicians.
Aides and supporters of President Buhari, as well as that of former President Goodluck Jonathan, and Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose have been throwing verbal banters at each other over the rumour, and its denial.
Trouble started when Senior Special Adviser to the president on Media and Publicity, Malam Shehu Garba in reacting to rumours that President Buhari had passed on at a London Clinic, said, “He (Buhari) is unlike a past President who was at Ota, w/ Chief Obj & attending the Trump inauguration in D.C, being in two places at the same time!”
Garba’s comment was seen by many as a jibe at former President Jonathan, who on Friday was reported to have paid a visit to Former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his country home in Otta, Ogun state.
Jonathan was also reported by some media outfits to have been in Washington D.C for the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
However, Garba’s veiled punch was not taken lightly by Reno Omokri, former Special Assistant to ex-President Jonathan on New Media, who tweeted at Garba thus: “@GarShehu we know that your boss has reduced the naira to its lowest level ever, but you do not have to go this low!”.
On his part, Lere Olayinka, also an aide to Fayose on new media tweeted at Garba saying: “Tweeting from Burukutu joint as usual. Nonsense!”

Olayinka went further to also throw a punch at Tolu Ogunlesi, a Buhari supporter, saying “That news of @MBuhari death must have been spinned to shift our attention as usual. @ogundamisi is based in UK and http://metro-UK.com ??”.
According to him, “And they succeeded in taking our minds off the IDP “accidental” airstrike that left over 200 dead and the over N3bn Aso Rock Clinic budget narrative”.
In reply to another twitter user, Oke Umurhohwo, that said “Both Garba Shehu and Tolu Ogunlesi are petty and their behavior have really been unpresidential. Shame!, Olayinka said, “It is not only @GarShehu and @toluogunlesi that are petty, most @APCNigeria supporters are empty heads”.
His tweets were in reply to Ogunlesi’s which said: “So the PDpigs faked a @MetroUK website same way they faked @vanguardngrnews website and killed @MBuhari in their dreams. Try harder clowns”.
He also said to Olayinka: Dear @GovAyoFayose the news your man Friday @OlayinkaLere is busy circulating is FAKE. You have been DUPED. @MBuhari is ALIVE!”.
Even as the top aides continue their banters, their supporters have also joined the fray, sending twitter into a frenzy with their abuses and jibes at each other and their principals.

Buhari is alive, so no need to trade words with one another. And for jonathan aide who is taunting buhari’s government over dollar issue has no shame at all. This ongoing recession is the aftermath of corrupt Jonathan’s government.

Burukutu joint indeed, It is fayose and jonathan ‘ s aides that took burukutu not Garba.
I know fayose and jonathan will be happy to see buhari dead, but it is the wish of Almighty Allah to lengthen Buhari’s life. Until 2022, nothing can kill buhari.

If you love your man, you won’t want him to recontest in 2019, or else he dies in power. We are in support of him to end his first tenure but should not bother go for second term. Osinbajo will take over in 2019.

It’s funny to see adults fight like fools on social media. However, in every rumours, there’s always an iota of fact… This was the same way they rumoured Yar’adua’s death before it was later confirmed to be true. We need to at least see a footage of Buhari debunking this rumour before one can be convienced.

I don’t blame them, they are from PDP, they want Buhari dead so they can come into power to steal the rest of Nigeria’s wealth, it can never work. Buhari is not ready to leave the world, the rumour carriers can die and go and wait for Buhari in heaven.
